Join us for the third annual (2007) CN Forum at MSU.

Wednesday October 3rd, 2007 • MSU Union Second Floor Ballroom 3:00-5:00pm

This year's CN Forum broadens the discussion of policy-relevant issues shared by U.S. and Canada between government and business leaders, the university and research community, as well as the general public. In its third year, this forum has laid a foundation of understanding about the relationship between U.S. and Canada. Recent events have called attention to the importance of strong relationships across common borders. Our audience is better in tune with the complexity of concerns shared by those in the Great Lakes Region, as they are about the broad nationwide effect of exchanges between the two countries and the positive influence we can have on one another. Today, we can and must talk about U.S. and Canada relations like never before.

Keynote Speaker: Harold Kvisle

The Keynote address (titled "Thinking Across Borders") will be presendted by Mr. Hal Kvisle. Mr. Kvisle has been President and Chief Executive Officer of TransCanada PipeLines Limited (TCPL) since May 2001, and TransCanada Corporation since May 2003. Mr. Kvisle joinced TCPL in 1999 as Executive Vice-President, Trading and Business Development with responsibility for power and pipeline ventures in North America. He was also responsible for TransCanada's marketing and trading activities in power and natural gas.

The CN Forum has recently been highlighted by the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (IPPSR). Audio clips from a recent interview with the director of U.S. Government Affairs for Canadian National Railway Company regarding the CN Forum are available here: http://www.ippsr.msu.edu/LLP/cnforum.htm
